Bow Lake

Bow Lake, in the Canadian (Albertan to be precise) Rockies. In Glorious Random High-Definition.
This lake is fed by the glaciers next to it, and that water flows down the mighty Bow River (Named so because the Natives used the trees nearby to make bows), and eventually ends up in the Hudson Bay, but not after stopping through many cities and towns, including Calgary, Alberta.

Harold Holt Memorial Swimming Pool, Victoria, AU

Harold Holt Memorial Swimming Pool, Victoria, AU

In 1967 Harold Holt, the Australian Prime Minister disappeared, presumed drowned, while swimming near Portsea, Victoria. What type of memorial would you build for someone who drowned? A swimming pool, of course. A genuine tribute or a macabre gesture by an official with a sick sense of humour, we'll never know.
