This building was constructed in the 50's, and seems like the Empire State building. But this building, of similar height, featured in past (1950's mid) the former TV Tupi. In these days, where has the TV Tupi transmitters, has a Brazilian flag (and sometimes Sao Paulo province flag).
The pavillion at Muizenberg beach - quite an old building, but with a graphic roof design. Nearby are rows of wooden beach huts, previously painted in bright colours (but which seem to have faded with time). Muizenberg beach is a popular summertime and surf spot.
This house is depressed below the level of the street. Note the shadow of the tree, which gives an idea of the slope up to the street level. This can also be seen by examining the faint tracks to the north, which mark the driveway area.
