Editors note - it only looks like a poor job of lining up two different satellite images. The line up is really accurate, the photos were just taken years apart.
Caused by two images taken at different times from different satellites. Even tough the shadows are almost in the same direction, the buidings inclination is different, showing that the angle of the satellite was different too.
Note: You'll need to turn Buildings off to really see this effect.

Found by "Matzeus" on bbs.keyhole.com and thought it would be great to share here as well. Almost too cool: two cruise missiles in flight as it looks like, near Tonopah Test Range in Nevada, USA. I am no expert but they look to be real.
This pack includes real-time traffic maps for the Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, San Jose and Sacramento metro regions; all provided by Sigalert.com. I think this overlay type is much better than any kind posted before. It just displays traffic and accident indicators, no background map.
