Nov. 21, 2004. Flight Mu5210 from Baotou to Shanghai, east China, fell into the frozen lake in the Nanhai Park of Baotou about a dozen seconds after it took off from Baotou airport at 8:20 a.m. (0020 GMT) Sunday, killing all 47 passengers and six crew members on board.

On 6 Jun,2008,a small plne crashed at 17.3 miles south of the village of Quinhagak, near Jack Smiths Bay.
The victim of the crash was identified as Shaun Lunt, 33, of Loma Linda, California. Lunt was flying one of two Piper Super Cubs traveling together at the time of the crash. The pilot of the other Super Cub, identified as Lon “Loni” Habersetzer of Washington, had successfully landed ...

Caravelle 3D-KIK was chartered by the Celtel company to transport telecommunications equipment to Goma. Approaching Goma, the pilot was not allowed to land and was forced to hold near Goma. Low on fuel, the captain decided to divert to neighboring Gisenyi Airport's in Rwanda. The Caravelle crashed on landing at Gisenyi Airport's 1000 metre long runway 01/19.

At least five people are feared dead after their small executive plane nosedived into a home in Kent.
There are further fears for residents who may have been inside nearby houses at the time of the crash.
An eyewitness described seeing a "big ball of fire" and plumes of smoke rising from the scene.

USAAF B-17E Bomber Swamp Ghost

The Swamp Ghost is a Boeing B-17E Flying Fortress piloted by Captain Frederick 'Fred' C. Eaton, Jr, that crashed in Papua New Guinea during the Second World War in 1942. The plane was rediscovered in 1972 in Agaiambo swamp, Oro Province. It was salvaged in 2006 and moved to Lae wharf where it lies waiting for permission to be transferred to the United States.

Pictures of the B-2 crash site at Andersen AFB, Guam show that the composite-body stealth bomber survived the Feb. 23 crash and subsequent fire largely intact. This picture was taken by an airline passenger (who asked not to be identified) as he flew past the base.
