Description: TEAL AMBER: Space Surveillance site is an Optical Tracking Station in the Malabar Optics Laboratory in Florida. It consists of three optical tracking receiver systems.
It is one of two dedicated electro-optical telescopes, the other being at Haleakala, Maui that is code named TEAL BLUE. These telescopes are used primarily for near-earth and deep space satellite tracking and space object identification using visual light as well as long-wave infrared imaging.
It was used to view the shuttle to check for missing tiles.
