Description: Field given to the beginning of XIe century by Rollon the Norman (1rst duke of Normandy) with the one of his/her companions from which descend Harcourt. Cradle of this famous family and whose Rieux, Tweed, Beauvau and Pitches continued the line during nine centuries. Beautiful specimen of the medieval military architecture, Harcourt preserved its strengthened enclosure overhanging of impressive ditches, its farmyard, its châtelet and its high home seigneurial arranged "with modern" at the end of the XVIIe century. Harcourt is enchased today in a famous arboretum of a thousand of rare essences. Wooded park of 100 hectares.
