Description: This is the site of the royal Naval Detention Quarters which is attached to both the main Naval Dockyard and Barracks It was known throughout the Royal Navy & Royal Marines as DQ's or Deek's and was used for the more serious breaches of Naval Law It was said that this was the toughest millitary prison in the UK It was staffed by both Naval & Marine Personel I am not sure if it is still in used today
