Description: This is the former site of the Essex County sanitarium for TB patients. It was built around 1910 and was gigantic. There are at least a few websites about it, the best being: http://www.mountainsanatorium.net

Its was a beautiful set of buildings and they were all demolished a few years ago and is now a park. As a teen, we would ride our bikes up there and wander the halls, looking at old xrays and wheelchairs scattered about. We were also able to go into the morgues, which was really creepy.
