Description: Parc Astérix is a theme amusement park park based on the stories of Asterix and Obelix, created by Albert Uderzo and René Goscinny. Situated approximately 35 km (20 miles) north of Paris in Plailly in the département of Oise, it first opened its gates in 1989 and quickly became the most popular theme park in France until the opening of Euro Disneyland (now Disneyland Paris Resort) in 1992). Today, it retains great popularity, and has begun incorporating rides and themes from historic cultures such as the Romans and the ancient Greeks.

Transdémonium (A haunted mansion filled with special effects)
la Trace du Hourra (900m bobsled, with cars that reach 80 km/h)
la Galère (A swinging ship)
Menhir express (Fun log flume ride with a 13m final drop)
Grand splatch (Rapid river)
