Description: Herbert Island, one of the Islands of Four Mountains group, sits to the west of the island of Chuginadak, from which it is separated by the Chuginadak Pass. (Chuginadak is visible at lower right, with Carlisle Island at upper right). Measuring measuring 10 km across, Herbert Island rises to a heigh of 1,280 m. The summit is topped by a 2 km wide caldera.
