Description: Know as "Plain of Jars", was a area of intense bombing by the United States during the Vietnam war. The entire landscape is still covered with bomb craters. It is know as the "Plain of Jars" because scathered across the landscape are mysterious giant "jars" made from stones thousands of years ago of unknown origin. It remains a mystery largely because the land is still littered with unexploded ordinances making it extremely dangerous for archaeologist to work.
