Description: Jilin petrochemical center encountered a major disaster on 2005, november the 13th.

Benzen wave of pollution covered the distance close to Harbin, 300 kms north from Jilin.

The spot here is centered on incriminated installations, but if you pan east from there a bit, you may see many plumes of smoke.

China still continues to use much old technologies, coal and oil based. Jilin is a sort of symbolic place for green defenders
