Description: Panzhihua, previously called Dukou, was founded only 40 years ago on the higher part of the Yangzi Jiang river area.

Open mining, controlled by PanxiGroup is the main activity of this city of more than 500.000 inhabitants.

The present spot is centered on a mining place located on top of a mountain. Zooming here makes possible to see part of extraction technics. You may see a giant 8, which probably was set there to help human work in success !
