Description: The S.S. Camille is still standing, although quite battered from Hurricane Katrina. The gift shop, however, was completely washed away by the tidal surge, leaving behind only the slab upon which it rested. The ship was originally forced inland by Hurricane Camille’s storm surge in August 17, 1969.
