Description: Charlotte Amalie was the second largest city in the danish kingdom in 1850.
It was the capital in the danish West Indian Islands on St. Thomas.
There are many buildings from the danish colony time from 1672 untill 1917 when St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix were sold to the USA for 25 mio US Dollar after a public voting.
Special for Charlotte Amalie is that they still use the danish street names which are translated to english.
