Description: I think that the Sudbury River here in Wayland Massachusetts forms a pretty obvious face. He even has an eye complete with an abandoned Nike missile base for a brow! Do you see it?
This part of the Sudbury-Concord-Assabet river was the playground of 19th century illuminaries Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau. Many of their writings are directly associated with this small stretch of the river which is also known as "musketaquid".
Just to the North is Walden Pond. If you follow the river further North, just past the spit,(egg rock) That is the sight of Old North Bridge and the "shot heard round the world"(1775). This stretch of the river also hosted a major battle in King Philips War(1675).
