Description: This combination rail and highway bridge crosses the Mississippi River at Jefferson Parish,LA. The railway part of this bridge at 22,996 feet is the longest in the United States. The highway structure of this bridge is 8,076 feet long. The bridge is approximately 135 feet high and the widest clean span is 790 feet.
