Description: The two runic stones outside Jelling church was created around the year 955 and 965. On the front of the big stone from around 965 it shows the cruzified Christ with a viking dragon artwork around it.
The stone was raised by the danish King Harold Bluetooth and has a script in that times nordic language that says:
HARALTR KUNUKR BATH KAURUA KUBL THAUSI AFT KURM FATHUR SIN AUK AFT THAURUI MUTHUR SINA, SA HARALTR IAS SAR UAN TANMAURK ALA AUK NURUIAK AUK TANI KARTHI KRISTNA.
That means: Harold King asked to rise these death stones after Gorm his father and after Thyra his mother, the Harold who won all Denmark and Norway and made danes christian.
On the small stone, raised by King Gorm the Old, from around 955 it says:
KURMR KUNUKR KARTHI KUBL THUSI AFT THURUI KUNU SINI TANMAKAR BUT
That means: Gorm King made this death stone after Thyra his wife.
