Description: From january 26th. 2007 it became new state guest house of the german government.
The government guest house is located about sixty kilometers from Berlin, near "Gransee", and is surrounded by six hectares of land. There are three adjoining buildings, in addition to the baroque castle, i.e. a delegation building, an accommodation building, and a castellan’s house. In the baroque park there is a garden pavilion that bears the name "Maison de Plaisir". Hermann von Wartensleben built the castle from 1738 to 1739. It changed hands a number of times over the years before being declared government property by the communist regime in the GDR. The Messerschmitt Foundation bought it in 1995 for around a million marks.
