Description: Perkins Stadium is home of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks football team. With seating for 15,000 it is the fourth largest stadium in the state of Wisconsin and the sixth largest NCAA Division III football stadium in the United States.
After each score a Civil War-era cannon sited off the south end zone sends off a mighty blast and a huge puff of smoke, then followed by the Warhawk Fight Song.
The UW-Whitewater Warhawks football team has posted an impressive record in particular over the last couple of seasons: in each of 2005 and 2006 it ranked #1 or #2 in the nation in D-III, and was the runner-up in each season, making appearances in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, the national championship for NCAA Division III football. |
