Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park contains 1,970 acres of land including a 250-acre lake for water-oriented recreation. The park gets its name from 1959 L.A. County Supervisor Frank G. Bonelli. It was Bonelli who organized 14-communities in the East San Gabriel Valley to plant more than 10,000 trees creating a legacy for future generations. Today jogging, hiking, and biking trails, along with picnic facilities accommodating over 17,000 people are enjoyed in a natural landscape surrounding Puddingstone Reservoir. |
