Description: The Cathedral with its three aisles was built in the centre of Maribo town by Denmark`s first female head of state, Queen Margrethe in 1353-1412, who founded Brigittine Abbey Church which was for both nuns and monks.
Brigittine Church was a double abbey church estimated to accommodate 60 nons and 25 monks (including 12 priests) under the general confessor.
