Description: The Cloos Tower is 60 meters tall and stands on a 100 meter tall hill and wa opened on april 18. 1962 and named after a crocer from Frederikshavn, Christian Cloos.
When Christian Cloos died 1941 he had a furtune of 1 mio danish kroners. He made a last will and Frederikshavn municipality inherited half of it if it made a recreation area for the people and create a tower with only one clause. It had to be done within 50 years after C.C. death.
In clear weather you have from the tower a fantastic view over most of Vendsyssel (the north region of Denmark) and also to the island Laeso in Kattegat.
