Description: The church of the Moravian Congregation in Christiansfeld today has around 400 members.
The church, erected in 1777, has Denmark's largest room without supporting pillars with space for 1000 people. It underwent a thorough restoration as well as a reconstruction of the original steeple in 1973, financed by a l.2 mill. D.kr. grant from the Historic Buildings Council. The interior is very simple, without altar, christening font or pictures. The only decoration is an old, handmade chandelier. Instead of a pulpit, there is a sermon table.
