Description: When you enter Copenhagen Airport by car from the highway you are welcomed by this piece of art.
It's called De fire Vinde (The four Winds), symbolising the 4 winddirections. Each of the 4 figures are ring up their hands toward the wind.
It was made 1960 by the danish artist Henrik Starcke and is made of stainless Steel, Copper and enamel.
Original it was placed in front of terminal 2 but because of the expansion of the airport it has been moved several times. 1991 to 1999 it was stored away.
Today it stands at the entry roundabout at terminal 2. |
