Description: This is the museum of the danish artist Bertel Torvaldsen (1770-1844). Denmarks most famous artist ever.
Maybe not as known as he should be in the US, but for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) he is known.
He made the Statue of the resurrected Christ they have at Temple Square and at their homepage.
This statue is origin in the cathedral of Copenhagen and copies in other churches in Denmark and Greenland.
Also the tomb of Pope Pio VII in St. Peters Cathedral in the Vatican he made

He is buried in the ıard of the museum.
