Description: Deep down, in the cool, narrow passageways, there is a very special atmosphere and in certain places you might have to crouch down with a candle to find the way. It was here that Jens Longknife sought refuge.
The underground limestone mines date back to the 10th century.
On a journey underground, you can see a geological exhibition with fossils and corals from 60 million years ago and can imagine the sound of the busy miners working underground, breaking the limestone with pickaxes. If you are lucky, you might catch a glint of the many bats.
Every day treasure hunting for children is arranged.
