Description: In Short Cut, Elmgren and Dragset give the illusion that a car and camper trailer have driven straight through the center of the earth and emerged in the Galleria Vittoria Emmanuele in Milan (for Universal Experience, Short Cut was installed on the MCA plaza). Their whimsical and nostalgic sculpture evokes family road trips with the family but also implies uncharted regions we have yet to explore in this era of globalization.
