Description: Scattered around in some of the Tokyo imagery you can see the Japanese taking part in their annual 'hanami', or cherry blossom viewing. The traditional way to do this is to bring a blanket or cover for the ground and have a meal, often including a bit of sake, and enjoy a lovely Spring day amongst the flowering trees. Many people rent a boat and row slowly around enjoying the day too.
