Description: Very few persons believed in the idea at the begining of the sixties of the 20th century. the KKL decided to plant a four millions tree forest at the "door" of the Neguev desert. and...It Works! Actually, the Yatir forest(Translation: the father of the forests) is growing and expanding naturaly and is part of the FluxNet investigation. By the vay, the north frontier of the forest is also the 1949 armistice agreement line.
Since the begining of the 20th century, nearly 240 millions of trees have been planted all over the country.
In my opinion, a quite good idea for the earth, the country,its citizens and economy. you can find more information on the Net in various languages.
