Description: This Iranian jet aircraft was destroyed in an accident near Tehran on 22 September 2009.

In 1991 Gulf War two IL-76AEW fled from Iraq to Iran where the remain in service at Shiraz and Mehrabad Intl. Only one remained operational for transport purposes, as the AWACS systems on board were no longer operational.
