Description: Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Coliseum was an 11,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Jacksonville, Florida. Built in 1960, it was home to most of the city's indoor professional sports teams, including the Jacksonville Lizard Kings ice hockey team, and the American Basketball Association franchise known as The Floridians.
The Coliseum hosted dozens of concerts and shows during its 43 year history, including Bob Dylan, Bon Jovi, Frank Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Presley, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deep Purple and Bruce Springsteen.
It hosted the 1981 Sun Belt Conference and 1999 and 2000 Atlantic Sun Conference men's basketball tournaments. It was also the site of the last WCW WrestleWar in 1992 and the last-ever WCW pay-per-view, WCW Greed, in 2001.
