Description: The Cathedral of Viborg (Viborg Domkirke in Danish) dominates the city and the two towers can be seen from far away. Archaeological excavations indicates that a church has be situated here since the Viking Age. The present cathedral is from 1876 and is one of the biggest granite churches in the North. Inside, the cathedral is decorated with the impressive murals - an enormous picture bible - by Joakim Skovgaard. The seven-armed candlestick from the late 15th century also makes the cathedral well worth a visit.
