Description: Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, major NASA research center in the heart of Silicon Valley, CA. The huge hangar on the left is a 1930s-era US Navy dirigible hangar that housed the USS Macon. The two hangars on the right are 1940s-vintage and housed blimps. Hangar One (the one on the left) was going to be converted to a space and sciences center, but this was put on hold when toxic chemicals were discovered in the paint.
