Description: This is a detailed overlay of the Vulkaneifel and the Eifelmaare near Daun, Germany.
These vulcanic caldera lakes, called Maar, are located in the beatifull Eifel Montains, Germany. They are of vulcanic origin and very deep (200 feet and more). In some lakes you can swim, some are closed for watersports.
