Description: On Wednesday, 3 June 1998, the ICE 884 "William Conrad Roentgen" was with approx. 200 km/h on the travel from Munich to Hamburg at height of the village Eschede.A defective wheel tire at a wheel of the third axle of the first car broke. During derailing the ICE 884 "William Conrad Roentgen" 101 humans died and 88 were heavyhurt.
