We have managed to obtain a graphic of the Formula One circuit that has been designed by Herman Tilke for Cape Town - the same person who designed Turkey's new track.
It is claimed the circuit will be built on a triangular piece of ground next to Cape Town International Airport, and will have direct access from the N2 highway via a feeder road, with its own intersection.
The plan includes grand stands, parking, and all other facilities, and the original graphic- which we have enhanced for clarity - even suggests the racing lines drivers might take.
Interestingly, there are a number of water features on the site marked as "retention ponds" which critics say suggests the site may contain high levels of ground water.
The 17-corner circuit features both slow corners, and a twisty - but high speed - latter section.
The South African bidding consortium's David Gant has said a contract with F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone could be signed by the end of this year.
