Description: City Island is a small island and is located in the borough of The Bronx in NYC. It is about 1.5 miles long and about 5 or 6 blocks wide, depending on where on the island you are. It has the charm of an old New England fishing town and hardly any crime to boot.
Editor's note: NY Hidden Treasure Alert: There are also some great old-time restaurants on the island. You can't miss 'em -- just look for the lines of people waiting.
