Description: Russel is where the Department of Defence is situated in Canberra, Australia. In the middle of the roads forming a pentagon, sits the Australian-American Monument - An eagle sitting atop a 73m tall concrete pillar. This was presented to Australia from America for our contribution during the 2nd world war.
