Description: Wollemi National Park. New South Wales. In 1994, a bush walker found what he thought was an unusual tree, the now famous Wollemi Pine, Wollemia nobilis, has somehow managed to hang on since the days that dinosaurs walked the land. The location has been kept secret but cuttings were taken and propergated and commercial release of the plant is scheduled for 2006.
