Sree Kanteerava Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Bengaluru, Karnataka state, India. It is Bangalore's main sports stadium and several national level teams hold their training sessions here. The stadium has a capacity to hold 40,000 spectators. Most of the football matches are held here. It also includes 2 outdoor basketball courts and one indoor court where several international matches have been played. The campus consists of Taekwondo, rock climbing, a running track, a football field and a volleyball court. Land used for the Kanteerava stadium was once a lake called as Sampige lake. The athletic track in this stadium was developed into a pro synthetic track for National games in the year 1997.
