|The Castle Ehreshoven is a moated castle in Engelskirchen, Oberbergischer Kreis, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.|
The castle was first mentioned in 1355. Prior to becoming a Damenstift (a kind of monastery without a vow for noble ladies), it belonged to the counts of Nesselrode for 500 years. A moat exists around the castle, a French garden and a teahouse (16th century).
Today it is in the possession of the well-known German journalist Carmen Thomas who runs a communication-academy there.
