The Ganges delta is a river delta in the south Asia region of Bengal (Bangladesh and West Bengal in India). It arises from the confluence of the rivers Ganges (Padma), Brahmaputra (Jamuna) and Meghna. It covers more than 105.000 km² and empties into the Bay of Bengal.
