On April 8, 2010, about 1845 Pacific daylight time, a Grumman American Avn. Corp. G-1159, N706TJ, collided with a fuel truck while taxiing to the active runway at Boeing Field/King County International Airport (BFI), Seattle, Washington. Jetstar Air, Inc., operated the airplane under the provisions of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91. The airline transport rated pilots, a cabin attendant, and three passengers were not injured; the fuel truck driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The airplane's left wing was structurally damaged. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the cross-country flight that was destined for the Van Nuys Airport (VNY), Van Nuys, California. An instrument flight rules (IFR) flight plan had been filed.

According to the pilot, the flight had arrived from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and was at the main terminal clearing customs. After the passengers had cleared customs, and the airplane had been refueled, the pilot had requested and received permission to taxi from the main terminal to runway 13R. The pilot had been instructed to turn onto taxiway Alpha 1 for runway 13R, however, he overshot the turnoff. Tower personnel then cleared him to perform a 180-degree turn, at the pilot's discretion, to rejoin taxiway Alpha. The pilot recalled seeing the moving fuel truck, and then the left wing fuel tip tank penetrated the cab of the fuel truck. The pilot also stated that there was no fuel in the tip tank.

Airport personnel stated that the driver of the fuel truck, from Galvan Flying Service, had enough time to duck down before the left wing penetrated the cab and pinned him to the seat.
