But the Beach named MAYA BAY located on the Island Koh Pee Pee Lae in Thailand, isn't completly surrounded by rocks like in the movie. The illusion was created by adding on giant rock with CGI. But: The Beach is really amazing!

This is the a beach the local's use. There are no hotels here just two enormous beaches with lovely white sand. You have to pay to park (about 4 Euro) then walk a bit but worth it. Beach bars , beds etc available.
