Humayuns Tomb, Delhi

This tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the Taj Mahal.
It was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1993.

Built by Abyssinian architect Bilal Mohammed Khan in 1753-54, this is the tomb of Mirza Mukin Abul Mansur Khan.

This garden boasts a fine collection of tombs of Sayyid and Lodi rulers. Mohammed Shah's tomb from 1450 was a prototype for the later Mughal-style tomb of Humayun, a design that would eventually develop into the Taj Mahal. Other tombs include those of his predecessor, Mubarak Shah, 1433, Ibrahim Lodi 1526, and Sikander Lodi 1517.

Fortress "Gerhard" is built between 1856 and 1863 as component of the Swinoujscie fortress. From 1921 till 1945, the fortress was in use by the Kriegsmarine.

The fortress today:
