Bahrainian Atoll?

Bahrainian Atoll?

Strange looking dots and some houses occupy this atoll in the Persian Gulf. Looks as though there is a dredged shipping lane to the atoll. I have found no information on the net relating to this or any of the islands in the archipelago, and it is only visible in Google Earth.

Leeward Islands (Islands over the Wind)

Leeward Islands (Islands over the Wind)

The Leeward Islands are the northern islands of the Lesser Antilles. They are called "leeward" because the prevailing winds in the area blow from south to north. Thus, the Leeward Islands are downwind, on the backside, or leeward from the Windward Islands, the group of islands that first meet the Trade Winds coming from the south.
