|In germany the garbage truck and the Garbage man's clothes are in orange colour. Its for their safety because the orange colour can be seen very well in the traffic.|
At Chrismas time or eastern, some friendly poeple put little presents (with little money) on their garbage can's, to show the garbage men that they recognize their work and that they are grateful.

Work on breaking up the wreck began under the supervision of the British authorities. All valuable metals and the gunhouses and turrets were removed before the bare torso of the ship was abandoned where she lay.
