 | This is Hotel Arctic in Ilulissat, the world’s most northerly 4 star hotel with a 5 star conference centre.
It has a great vue out towards Ilulissat Icefjord, especially nights in the summer when the sun still shines.
Famous are the 5 silver igloo's to the left used as hotel apartments.

 | The great greenlandic/danish polar explorer Knud Rasmussen was born here on june 7th. 1879. Today it houses Ilulissat Museum with the history of Knud Rasmussen and the arctic world of Greenland.

 | The construction began 1997 and was opened for traffic 1999 with flights twice a week with a DASH 7 from Kangerlussuaq. Before 1999 you flew from Kangerlussuaq to Ilulissat by DASH 7 and from Ilulissat to Upernavik by a Sikorski S-61 helicopter. A trip could sometimes take a whole day because of weather conditions.

It's 23 meters long (75.5 ft), 3 meters wide (9.8 ft).

 | This prison in Nuuk is an open prison and called Anstalten for domfældte (Institution for convicted). Prisoners here can do their normal work so so go to their ordinary job as fisherman, carpenter or what ever they do. They are "released at morning and comes back in the afternoon or evening when the job is done.
