Robertson Stadium is a sports stadium located on the campus of the University of Houston. It is the current home of the Houston Cougars football and women's soccer teams, as well as Houston 1836 of Major League Soccer, which will begin play in the 2006 season. The stadium hosted the Houston Oilers from 1960-1964. The current capacity of Robertson Stadium is 33,000.
Ellington Field (EFD) is a joint use civil/military airport. Acquired by the City of Houston in 1984, Ellington now supports the operations of the United States military, NASA, Continental Express, United Parcel Service and general aviation. The airport is home to the largest flying club in Texas and is the site of the annual Wings Over Houston Airshow.
The airport was renamed George Bush Intercontinental Airport Houston in 1997, in honour of Former President George Bush. President Bush is a long time resident of Houston and was present at the airport's opening in 1969 when he was a Member of Congress representing the Houston area.
